Drive Turntable Manual AT-LP60 Turntable Drive Belt Problems?
So I recently purchased the Audio Technica AT-LP60 turntable. Work great! However, my cat knocked it on to the floor, and the drive belt came off. Nothing is damaged. I can't figure out how to get the drive belt on correctly, and the manual won't help me. Any suggestions?
First, remove the platter mat and lift the platter. There is nothing holding it down.
Then, put the belt around the large pulley under the platter. If the belt is stretched too large to stay on the pulley, put a non-sharp tool or your finger through an opening in the top of the platter and put the belt around that too.
Next, replace the platter and stretch the belt around the small motor pulley you saw when the platter was removed, working though an opening in the top of the platter.
Done!
When the belt starts to slip or your table starts to play too slow, it's time to replace the belt with a new one.
