My Samsung HDD Recorder wont Timer Record?
I recently purchased a Samsung DVD-SH893M. It's supposed to have a feature where you can Set a timer to record a programme you'll miss. Whenever I've set it up to do this, the timer light goes red on the display meanings it's been set. But when the programme starts , the lights flashes, and nothing records. The Manual says this light flashes if the hard drive is full, but it's brand new, and I re-formatted it and it still doesn't work. I've tried setting a timer through the guide and through the scheduled porogrammes menu, but it still doesn't work. Any help?
You need to set the start of the timer and what time the program will end. Then press start or save. You probably can only record one program at a time.
It could be you haven't tuned the set unit to the tv or may be you have only bought a DVD recorder that doesn't record tv programs. Only discs.

Latest Version Lto-5 Eh957A Sas Ultrium Internal Tape Drive By Hp
LTO-5 is the latest version of highly economical and durable linear tape open format. HP has designed EH957A internal tape drive, which is based on the LTO5 tape technology. This HP EH957A internal drive features 6 GB/s SAS host interface. HP has specifically engineered the LTO-5 drive to fulfill the needs of enterprise and midsized markets. LTO-5 is the first generation of LTO format that offers native capacity in terabytes, which is 1.5TB. HP LTO-5 tape enables efficient data management and offers robust security features.
HP has enhanced the buffer size of LTO5 SAS tape drive to 256 MB, which allows faster backups at speed of 1 TB/ hour. Compressed recording capacity of HP EH957A internal tape drive has been raised to 3 TB. These drives offer the advantageous technologies of its predecessor LTO-4 tape format, which includes the write-once read-many and AES encryption functionalities. Massive 3 TB compressed capacity makes HP LTO-5 tape a big hitter in high demanding, mission critical environments. WORM functionality is also supported by the LTO4 and LTO3 technology. When compared to the LTO-4 ultrium format, the LTO 5 tape technology offers faster performance and double the storage capacity.
LTO4 and LTO3 cartridges can be accessed by the HP EH957A tape drive. The drive can record and read the ultrium-4 tapes, while it can only read the stored data on LTO-3 cartridges. Read/write compatible LTO4 and LTO5 tapes are given below: D2407-LTO4 ( TDK LTO 4 tape), 26247007 ( Fuji LTO-4 ), 341-4640 ( Dell LTO4 backup tape ), 183906 ( Maxell LTO ultrium-4 tape ), LTX800G ( Sony LTO4 media cartridge ), 229323 ( Maxell LTO-5 tape ), LTX1500G ( Sony LTO-5 ultrium tape ), C7975A ( HP LTO ultrium-5 ), MR-L5MQN-01 ( Quantum LTO5 tape ), and 27672 ( Imation LTO 5 tape ).
Media of LTO-5 data tape features enhanced bit density which is very helpful in recording massive volumes of information. Recording tracks for the LTO-5 backup tape have been raised to 1280. Data access time has decreased and the media monitoring process has become more efficient with the inclusion of LTO memory chip. Robust tape head of HP LTO-5 drive assures accurate and low cost data reading/recording under heavy duty cycles. Special sensors employed in the HP LTO5 tape provide useful information to the data administrators regarding the proper contact of tape-to-head.
