Where do I put the ground cable on my turntable?
hello everyone... I have a Denon DP-29-F and a pre-amp I bought recently...
there is no Ground on my stereo system, and i'm not sure if there's one on my pre-amp or not... here's a picture of it:

so, if there's no ground on my pre-amp, then where do I screw it in? I don't want a huge buzzing noise!
does it matter where I put the ground? can it just be on a metal part with a screw? or does it need to be a ground connection?
it hums with the ground disconnected...
so, I screwed the ground on one of the screws on the case of the pre-amp...
there doesn't appear to be any change, does anybody know whats wrong?
Don't ground it to your amp....if it goes anywhere, it goes on the INPUT side of your phono preamp....and if it doesn't have a thumbknob connected to the chassis of the pre-amp, try it without it connected...
If it hums, then connect the ground wire to the CASE of the preamp by putting it under one of the screws on the preamp.
Do not ground it to your amplifier.....
