How do I complete the national pokedex on pokemon soul silver?
Is it possible to complete the national pokedex in pokemon soulsilver. I tried going to the battle frontier but that doesn't work
Any help?
Heres where things start to get difficult, i assume you understand the mammoth task of completing a pokedex, so we'll get straight to it.
some pokemon you cant actually get in Soul Silver (SS) and only appear in Heart Gold (HG), so for these ones you need to trade between the games, meaning you'll need a friend with HG or you'll need another DS (possibly - dont know if they still have that global trade system, then it would be possible to do with only one DS - but you would need WiFi) and a copy of HG
some pokemon dont appear in either SS or HG, and here comes the tricky part, for example you want to get a Sceptile, you will need to have an Original DS (Big one), and a copy of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, aquire that either Treeko/Grovile/Sceptile (on the evolutionary chain) then you have to migrate that pokemon onto a copy of Diamond/Pearl/Platinum via the Pal Park, so that you can get that pokemon on your copy of Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, now that you have done that, you will need to trade the pokemon onto SS for your completion of the national dex.
this is a MAMMOTH task, it will consume you, and if it doesnt, you will fail, or it will just take you a b*stard long time lol
but of course, 100% completion will be impossible for most without using some cheated pokemon, because there are things that nobody has like Arceus, Deoxys and Jiirachi, - but good luck with that.
when i completed my Nat. Dex on Sapphire i found this site to be AMAZINGLY helpful - www.serebii.net , it is simply the most comprehensive list of "how do i get X pokemon" on the web, has a lot of direct walkthroughs on more complex things such as the regi's from sapphire/ruby, and even covers the anime (if you can call it that lol)
also if you want a Wi-Fi trade theres a little chat room on there, most people on there will be looking for something you have and have something you need, and theres a lot of nice people there who will be there just to help novices or even pros get that last 'mon for completion.
