Cherry Wood How do I fix scratches and water marks on a cherry wood dresser?
I have a cherry wood dresser that has water marks, small scratches and indentions in it that look like it came from cups. I used toothpaste to get rid of some of the imperfections but it still needs work. I have wood markers for the stain that is almost the exact color as the wood except it does not have the shine. Is there anything I can do to fix it without sanding it down and restaining it. This is just a temporary fix so the furniture looks like it is good shape.
Old English oil has different tints, the wood LOVES it and if you use it regularly will retain a nice shine and keep your dresser in great shape for years

If the hardwood floor looks like cherry wood, how do I know whether it is real cherry wood or it is just the s?

Normally homes today don't use solid cherry for the hardwood floors...the cost would be very high. I imagine the cherry appearance is either because the floor has cherry veneer, or most likey, the wood has been stained to resemble cherry.
