Center Channel
What are you using to prop your center channel speaker on top of your HDTV?
I have a center channel and it's pretty big while the LCD TVs are thin at the top. I had no problem setting it on top of my previous tube TV.
According to sound quality (and aesthetics), it's best to have the CC on top of the TV.
I use a dedicated centre speaker stand, very similar to this > http://www.importmarket.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=LBMU-C
Google, 'Center Channel Speaker Stand.'
They're extremely sturdy, and 'ideal' for larger centre speakers.

Where to put a center channel speaker if one has a 46-60 flat screen HDTV?
The center channel speaker has to in line with the mains.
Best place is right under the screen. Second best place is right above the screen.
