Cd Turntable Technics
I need help hooking up my Technics equalizer SH-8017?
This is what I have for units:
Receiver/Amplifier SA-EX320, CD changer SL-PD687, Tape deck RS-TR575, Turntable SL-D2, Equalizer SH-8017. Everything but the equalizer is hooked up, any suggestions? Can the CD changer be run through this too?
The equalizer hooks up to the tape ins and outs on a receiver with a tape monitor function. Tape outs on the receiver go to the main inputs on the EQ. Outputs from the EQ go to the tape ins on the receiver.
How it works is... You select the source you want to listen to on the receiver and also make sure the tape monitor button on the receiver is activated at the same time to hear your source equalized. Your receiver has a tape monitor button, so you're good to go. Most equalizers had their own ins and outs for a tape deck and their own tape monitor button because they tied up the tape monitor circuit in the receiver.
