how do i get the window showing the ink levels?
i have a HP 6988.
i always use genuine replacement cartridges.
The ink level notification that normally pops up in the lower right corner of your monitor every time you print something is not anything to do with Windows.
When you first install your printer driver with your CD it will be installed, if there is one. In other words, the thing you're talking about is part of printer software, not Windows. For example I've had several printers that showed nothing at all, and also ones that popped up the ink level notifier...the one I have now pops up an ink level notification and a voice says "Printing started"
