1999 TJ 4.0 Idle adjustment?

Is there an idle adjustment on my 99 TJ 4.0? It's and auto with air and currently runs about 1200 rpm. Also is there anyway to completely reset the computer? 3 months ago had to replace front and back O2 sensors, complete tune-up, wires, plugs, dist. cap, and mpg went from about 17 to maybe 14. What can I do? Now it's fuel rich it you touch the accelerator before starting it will flood and not want to start easily. No OBD II codes, no check engine lights, just very rich air/fuel mix and idle to high.

There's no real idle adjustment as such, you can tweak the TB at the cable and move it up and down but if it's running rich that won't change any thing, it's all controlled by the ECM.

Running rich, with all the changes you've done, is likely the IAC or MAP sensor or you may have a cracked/loose exhaust manifold (fresh air makes the o2 sensors read low mixture and so it runs rich). However, there's no guarantee that the o2 sensor(s) or any other part you installed is good and isn't causing the problem. It will take some diagnostics.

You also want to be sure the engine is getting up to operating temperature, it should be close to the 210 mark. If you're running a cooler thermostat, say a 160-180 the engine will stay in 'warm-up" mode and will run rich all the time, it needs to hit and maintain about 205.

Disconnect the battery, turn the ignition key to the on position and hold it there a few seconds. Re-connect the battery and the computer is re-set.
