Can you hook up any USB Turntable to Audio software to play mp3's?
This might be a really stupid question, but i'm wondering about these Stanton t.62 turntables. What i am asking is can i use them just to play mp3 tracks through software (scratch live), instead of using vinyl...
You can scratch digital music files with the right DJ software and possibly a turntable-like controller. But, a USB table won't do this. You can only scratch the vinyl that's on it. It just feeds audio into your computer through USB, It can't work like a controller for software.

Why do my turntables sound off?
Hey there,
I got some wires for my direct drive turntables - they've been plugged into a 12 channel mixer - analog L and R to a 1/4" input jack.
I tested them out, though the audio coming from them sounds like a vocal remover filter has been turned on (i.e. I can hear the instruments well though the vocal are quiet and more distant than they should be).
Can anyone help please? No added filters or effects have been turned on. Sorry to bother you.
You need a turntable preamp with Reverse RIAA Equalization curve.
