American Audio SDJ-1
Is there such a thing as a non-SDHC 4gb SD flash card?
I have a piece of hardware (American Audio SDJ-1) that says it accepts up to a 4GB card, but that is NOT compatible with the SDHC cards. I can't find just a regular 4GB SD card anywhere!! Do they exist and/or where can I find one? Any ideas WHY it would not be compatible??
They used to make a regular 4GB flash card, but since SDHC has been out for a while, they opted for that and stopped making the regular 4GB ones.
SDHC is different from regular SD in the way the software handles the data writing and such. You need a software upgrade to handle SDHC chips.
You may be able to find one on ebay or some used ones on amazon.com.
