Audio Audiophile Anyone know of any Vista ready sound cards comparable to the Audiophile 24/96?
Hello, I've been merrily using some audiophile 24/96's on multiple computers since 2004. I was recently given a new hp tower pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium as a anniversary gift and you guessed it I'm in the same boat as every other m-audio user with no drivers available and in sight. I was interested in finding out if anyone has had success with other Vista ready soundcards comparable to the audiophile 24/96 in respects to asio support and 24 bit etc ratio? I hate to see the computer sitting around and I hate even more to write in midi all day manually!
Thanks
Reggie T
Unfortunately, Creative has the most stable drivers to date for Vista. I run Ultimate with a SB Live!24-bit PCI card, and I have limited use of the card. However, my Logitech 5.1 speakers DO work with the card under Vista, I just have to use Vista's control panel, not Creatives. Hope this helps. If you find a 5.1 card with a better driver, please let me know.
