Anti Skate weight
Creaky Inline Skates? Please Help?
I posted this before, but no one answered. I just bought a new pair of aggressive inline skates with an anti rocker setup last week. They're great, but 2 days ago, the front part of the left skate makes a creaky sound when there's weight on it and I'm rolling. It's really annoying. I tried to tighten the wheel, but that didn't help at all. (Also, I used an american sized alan wrench instead of metric and stripped the screw. I'm stupid. *facepalm*) I checked every screw on the skate, but they're all tight and secure. I switched the wheels, but it was still in the front part. The reason that I say the front of the skate is because I can skate with all my weight on the back wheel of that one skate, and it's still silent, while even 20 pounds on the front and it creaks. What could be the problem, and if you have any ideas, how to fix it? Could it be the boot itself? Is it something that can be fixed at all? Please help me on this. I'm stumped.
They are installed buy lots of plastic parts that are going to rub together hense why they are going to squeak. If you find the source of the squeak then lube it, don't lube bearings with wd-40 if thats the squeak use a bearing lube but any other parts can be lubed with it. This will eventually wear off but buy then the squeak may be gone. Most sqeaks are just worn out after time.
